Igbo Muslim Mosque Attacked by IPOB In Ebonyi State

It is incontrovertible that the East is the most hostile environment to Muslims and Islam.
In fact, it is the most hostile society to Muslim minorities in Nigeria.

On Tuesday 6th of April 2021, IPOB hoodlums/terrorists stormed the Edda Owutu Mosque in Ebonyi at Night and attacked the mosque & its properties.

The Sign board was pulled down, the Mosque door was attacked, the mat was burnt, kettles, etc., According to the mosque Imam; Alhaji Obasi Chukwu.

This is coming after fanatic christians called IPOB burnt police station in Imo state along several properties.

This isn’t the first time mosque in igbo land get attacked at any slight provocation not in any way related to Muslims.

This year alone, during the endsars period which became endislam in igbo land, muslims and their mosques were attacked across igbo land.
Even a catholic reverend father was seen drumming.support for the IPOB hoodlums in the catholic church alter.

During the Endsars(EndIslaminIgboland) mosque were attacked in Imo, Enugu and Ebonyi. This is aside muslims that were attacked. The media of course, because the practitioners share same faith with the attackers, Christianity, they remained silent about the happenings.
We say in during their suffocation, inshaaAllah, nobody will remember them as they remained silent in the face of evil today.

It is worthy of note that the mosque that was attacked was built single handedly by the Imam, Alhaji Muhammad Obasi Chukwu who is an indigene and also a traditional leader in his own space.
While in the South East, I did my Jummah in that Mosque with the Jammah.

Some unknown persons have
gone to the Owutu Edda
Central Mosque.
They pulled down the
sign-board.
They broke the mosque door,
they entered into the mosque and
put fire.
They burnt all the mats, kettles
and some other items.
The mosque Qur’an and our Kutbah stand was not
burn.
I have reported to the Town
union chairman on the incident.
If any Muslim wish to
come to witnessed it: any is
welcomed.
I remain
yours sincerely.”

We want to specially call on the Governor of All Eastern States particularly Dave Umahi and Hope Uzodinma to specifically send security agents to Muslim areas in their states in other to protect the lives of Muslims and their properties.
