TMC CONDEMNS KILLING, MAIMING OF MUSLIMS OVER HIJAB IN KWARA STATE
Hijab. This five-letter word has refused to take leave of our public discourse for long. Many female Muslims all over the world love to don the garb because they are fulfilling a part of the injunctions of their religion. But some Christians will have none of it. No one can say why. Early this month of march, a video circulated more than wild fire on Facebook where young Muslim females removed their hijab as they alighted from their conveyor.
A Muslim man filming the scenario was heard instructing them to wear their hijab back;
“Wear it. Do not fear any human being. Fear only (your lord), Allah.”
One of the females wore it back. The camera was on her. She walked through the gate. Barely fifty strides, a Christian teacher was seeing pulling the hijab off her.
The man with the camera asked in provocation; why did you remove it? What did she do?
The Christian teacher didn’t say anything.
Muslim stakeholders in Kwara State have disagreed with a former Minister of Youth and Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, on his position on the raging hijab controversy in the state.
